TREES
Our community prides itself on having a lush, beautiful canopy of trees throughout the community for residents and visitors alike to enjoy. Please refrain from severe cuts or “tree topping” that surpasses 25% of a tree’s yearly canopy. (Per Miami-Dade County: “Excessive pruning of more than 25% of the tree’s canopy (i.e. hat-racking, topping, etc.) and other activities (i.e. trunk girdling, excessive root cutting, use of tree-killing chemicals, etc.) constitutes a violation of Section 24-49 of the Code of Miami-Dade County.” – link). Because of this, the association has been organizing maintenance (thinning and cutting) of trees on the swale within our community every 2 years. The most recent neighborhood tree trimming took place in May 2023 and was performed by Zamora Landscaping. The next tree trimming will take place in Summer of 2025. Homeowners are allowed to trim their trees, at their own expense, in between the HOA’s 2 year maintenance as long as they adhere to the 25% or less rule.
